Violin Study
The cello is one of the most difficult to master. Like the violin, the cello has no frets and so the domain will depend on training ear and finger exact locations. Like any other instrument, the mastery of the cello also depend not only on the student, but teachers too. But there are plenty of cello teachers out there. How do you know who the right teacher for you?
People have different tastes and styles, so before hiring a professor of cello, find out what your personality type is professor of cello. Is it taught through a strict regime? Or is that you teach through games. Is it boring or simply has a personality to go? The character traits of her cello teaching material, as this will affect their relationship with the teacher. If you are a person who likes to learn through fun and games, then a cello teacher who does everything by the book would work for you. Credentials, the certifications and experience are important. While some people say they are just pieces of paper, this aid is actually very good to help decide if their teachers do not is only credible, but also capable. ABRSM Diplomas Certificates and verify that your teacher is trained in their field of study. Imagine learning the cello from a teacher not certified! For example, could the bad habits, so it will be difficult to break over time, or if you can really be defrauded of money by hiring of a professional, certified teacher or not classified. The cello is an instrument of musical precision that requires years of training to master. So when hiring a cello teacher, find someone who has experience in teaching the prospective student's age and find someone who has the highest possible training.
Price is another factor to consider when looking for a cello teacher. Another benefit of private lessons is that this can be done either at home the teacher or in place for your most convenient time. Imagine having cello lessons in which there is no need to drive through traffic or competing for time with other students your teacher!

What’s the best music Conservatory/University for violin at the east coast of the US?
I’m a violin player,and i’m going to be 17 soon.
I’m considering about which University/Consevatory to apply for.
And I really want to change my sorroundings(I want to study at the east coast)…
Can anybody tell me that what’s the best 10 Music Conservatory/University for VIOLIN at the east coast of the US?
Curtis Institute of Music is by far the best, and the hardest to get into to. (Philly, PA) Acceptance is like 6.5%
In NYC, you have Juilliard (of course), the Manhattan School for Music, and the Mannes School of Music. NYU is better for graduates. (I hear Yale is giving all music graduates full scholarship, you might want to keep that in mind. They have a great department!) Stony Brook on long island has Midori, the Emerson Quartet in residence, as well as the Kavifans! Don’t know how easy it is to study with them though.

Maryland- Peabody
Don’t know if this still counts as ‘east’, but I hear Jaime Laredo is on faculty at Indiana University!
The Cleveland Institute of Music in Ohio is quite good with a fantastic faculty. Not on the East coast though.
