Electric vs. acoustic guitars the same? Best lessons DVD?
In the end, I want to be able to play an electric guitar. However, when I look a preview of all the guitar lessons DVD, all of them are played by acoustic guitars. If teachers play an acoustic guitar, and I follow him practice along with an electric guitar, is it the same thing than the sound quality? Are the same coordinates? Should I buy an acoustic guitar first if I'm just beginning, and then upgrade to an electric if I get better? Keep in mind, I want to go playing electric. Also I'm in need of what the best lesson of DVD to buy it. So far I have been looking LearnAndMasterGuitar (http://www.learnandmaster.com/guitar/) and GuitarMasterPro (http://www.guitarmasterpro.net/) just because its kind in youtube he played Canon Rock was on its link. Are there any others that should be considered? Thanks in advance.
There is no reason should not start for the electric, if that's what you want to play. Many purists insist acoustic music is the best way to learn, as a guitar noise requires more finger strength and dexterity, which makes the transition to power a breeze. But the slimmer necks and smaller (distance between strings and frets) on electrical appliances that are easier to play, which can be advantageous. I've been playing both acoustic and electric for over 20 years (mostly electric, and I played in bands), but decided a few months ago I needed to become a better guitarist. I found a DVD to a friend of the musician who has beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons, as well as a book to accompany each DVD. I am completely floored by how great that is, especially since I played by ear. And is specific to electric players, so it's probably perfect for you. The DVD will teach you everything from how to tune your guitar in the style of play is complicated. Since the set only costs $ 40, I'm a little ashamed that I played as a hack for so long. Here's a link: The lessons are aimed http://books-videos-music.musiciansfriend.com/product/Rock-House-Learn-Rock-Guitar-Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced-Package?sku=942719 metal players, but it is ideal for anyone wanting to play guitar. I imagine that metal guitarists to play the most intricate, complicated leads I've heard, and that can benefit from any knowledge they have, but never aspire to be a metal guitarist. acoustic and electric guitars are played exactly the same way, so it will be able to play once you have both learned to play. It will be more difficult to switch from electrical noise, as you will be accustomed the guitar neck thinner. But you probably learn faster in an electric one as it will be easier on the hands. Good luck!
